i think this debate has less comments because one has to sign up to a north ayrshire council website to leave comments: it is very laborious to get to the actual form. It was not clear to me exactly where the form was and then I realised it was not a form but individual debates? why use the word debate? If you had created a form that required direct access from the link from the email you would certainly have had more responses. I gave up the first couple of times and only persevered at the end because the library is so important to myself and my family. This is a wasted opportunity as I know this being such a well used library that there would have been many responses to these changes.
While Kilbirnie Library is escaping drastic changes, which is appreciated, the cumulative effect of the libraries in the neighbouring towns having substantial changes is just another point of pressure.
It will be confusing and not very relaxing to constantly be having to refer to the calendar to visit Beith or Dalry if their days are alternating.
While it is appreciated funds must be used wisely and good to see care being taken with expenditure, I can't help noting we seem to be paying more each year (e.g. Council Tax) and being squeezed more and more with our local services.,
We need opening hours later in the day for those who work otherwise I can only access the library on a saturday: the library should be open more, it is always busy and well used and has a fantastic selection of things on and resources
I use Kilbirnie Library 3 times a week, and I don't know any other library which offers all the facilities which are available. It would be a great inconvenience!
This library has become a community hub for me to mix with others in a safe environment and be able to learn new skills on the arty side like knitting and sewing plus all other events that are shown on the noticeboard and updated often.

They don't really have much impact on me personally

Getting to use library outside working hours would be a problem, the service should be open more hours to allow working people to use when required.
The loss of the later closing on a Tuesday would mean Saturday morning is the only time I can access the library
