Whilst the majority of books borrowed are from Saltcoats library I also on occasion borrow from Ardrossan . This has been particularly beneficial prior to authors visits in libraries throughout the authority area
I would like to borrow more but a lot of the books I want to read are not available. I really miss the inter- library loan system and the option to suggest books for purchase.
I’ve had difficulty accessing the opening hours while working, and the service hasn’t been running as it did in previous years. For example, no new non-fiction books are being purchased, inter-library loans are often unavailable, and I’ve been told to buy books myself on multiple occasions. Additionally, the online system sometimes shows books as available when they are not.
