We are a group of volunteers working with the community in the Ardeer Community centre, we engage in all community benefits and host community events, Our volunteers run the local cafe sadies place a monday to Friday, and we run a local food larder on a Thursday & Friday also. We give up our time through the week and at weekends to keyhold lets within the community centre to keep our core hours down to ensure that we do not need to pay the council more that thier required third of any payment we recive for the lets, to be able to put on events for kids and families. With doing this we have 3 volunteers who give up alot of thier free time to enusre this as well as holding community events for the kids and families of the Stevenston community.
Description
We would be looking to provide events from January to March family fun events in where we put on throughout the winter months, providing heat, light, safe place, a place to charge electroniccs, each even providing hot meals and snacks. The communty came to spend family time doing games nights, prize bingo nights, whrere all prizes are food supported, blankets, bedding, health & hygiene products. we do sports nights, arts & crafts. Family Cinema night.
On all events the community centre provided the games, everything that is required to suit the event including provided hot meals and hot snacks drinks fruit, these events were well attended each time, working alongside most the famililes and clients via our food larder we recognise the the difficulty and the hardship the community faces especially around the winter time, the cost of living has made a massive impact on family life and the struggles that our families go through, the shame that they cannot afford to go to clubs or have no games for the kids to play, have no means of providing hot meals, snacks and warm clothes.
We strongly believe and go on feed back that by hosting these family nights took alot of pressure of famililes single parents and the kids that attended and we hope to be able to provide all these events again.

Location: We are a volunteer committee for the Community centre, we are involved in the general day to day running of the centre and keyhold lets on a regular basis. We operate a community café solely by volunteers, we also operate a community larder , we do our best to run family and kid events for the community where we can.
