Cancer has touched every family wether its someone we know, or one of our own loved ones.
To show a little kindness and let them know we are thinking of them, we would like to involve the community in sewing Christmas Cushions and stockings for donations to The Ayrshire Hospice and The Beatson Hospital.
We will host 3 half day sewing sessions for local people to come along and volunteer their time to create christmas cushions and stocking for the christmas project.
We dont have a laptop or internet access in our workspace and use our own mobile data. To show tutorials at workshops and communicate information of the workshops and the achivements would help us promote what we do.
To help us achieve this project we ask for:
Laptop-£ 339.00
Christmas Fabric -£200.00
Cushion inserts-£150.00
West Kilbride Yuletide
2023-09-14 • No comments • • Official position 1 • North Coast
West Kilbride Yuletide provide a range of activities for all ages and generations. Activities include: Parade, Santa's Grotto, Arts & Crafts, Market Stalls, Pipe Band, Brass Band, Mobile Cinema, Critters, Choirs, Face Painting, Marshmallow Toasting, Mobile Youth Centre and many more.
To enable this to happen, certain legal procedures have to be put in place ie Road Closures for the Parade, Market Opertors Licence for the Market Stalls, Public Entertainment Licence for the Live Music. Without these in place, the activities will not be able to take place which would dilute the effect of the Festival and will not create the same level of Community Spirit.
It is vital funding is available to put these procedures in place as the success of the Yuletide event would be in jeopardy otherwise.
The cost for the Road Closures is £354; Market Operators Licence (3yrs) is £405; Public Entertainment Licence is £384 Total Cost: £1143

North Ayrshire Carers Centre - Community Carousel for unpaid carers.
2023-09-17 • 5 comments • • Community Scribe • Irvine
This project aims to create a community carousel in partnership with HSCP Carers Team, Youth Services, and KA Leisure to create opportunities within each locality. This will provide a family respite opportunity for unpaid carers accessing the service, or for individuals who may require support in benefit advice, education support, funding, carer support plans or a listening ear as we understand how demanding being an unpaid carer can be. This project will initially be rolled out in seldom-heard communities such as Garnock Valley and North Coast where we aim to provide support within our capacity to unpaid carers along with a fun day out for families to access activities and information based on their needs and abilities. This project will provide an opportunity to tackle isolation, food poverty, and fuel poverty by giving carers a safe, warm space to use for the day where they can bring their cared for, and also access a meal and refreshments along with the company of Carers Centre staff and partners.

Cranberry's community larder
2023-09-07 • No comments • • Kilwinning
Our project will help the community access the community larder at no cost and supporting them when needed.
This will allow them most in need access food with dignity, the usual cost is £4.00 for up to £15.00 worth of groceries. We have found in recent months through referrals from outside partners is that many are struggling to even afford £4. This will help reduce that stress and knowing that the most vunerable can access this service.
£1000.00 divided by £4.00 will be to cover the cost of 250 households in accessing food with dignity.
