Moorpark Growing Together Project
No comments
Garnock Valley
Summary
This project will provide children and their families with an opportunity to develop lasting gardening skills, increased access to fresh produce and a shared community resource that will continue to benefit our families long term. Our family gardening project aims to bring families together to grow plants and food, learn new skills and create a healthier, more connected community.
Description
Through regular family gardening sessions, participants will learn about planting, growing, composting, biodiversity and health eating. The after school project will encourage children to take an active role alongside their parents/carers, helping them develop confidence, responsibility and an understanding of how living things grow.
As well as providing practical and educational benefits for all, we aim to create a welcoming space where children and their parents can spend time as a family, meet with other families to share their experiences and build stronger relationships within their community.
