Summary
To promote and encourage gardening for everyone in the community from school age to retirement. Providing free seeds to the local schools and advise members of how to grow their vegetables and blooms, and to show them on the benches at the annual show.
Description
For our annual show, the largest outlay we have is the printing costs for the show program, which this year was almost £500. It puts quite a strain on the finance as we rely so heavily on individual donations to help keep the annual show alive. The committee volunteer many hours in putting the show together over several months, including visiting the schools to provide the seeds for their individual garden clubs. So a small grant to help towards our printing costs would be beneficial to pay for our own printer, card, guillotine, stapler and a laminator which I have costed out.
