For many families, the additional costs associated with Easter and Christmas can place significant pressure on already stretched household budgets. Established in Kilwinning in 2017 ,our aim is to ensure that local children can experience the excitement and enjoyment of these special occasions without families having to choose between buying gifts and meeting essential household costs.

The funding will help us provide gift vouchers and support the practical delivery of our appeals. Volunteers are central to the project and will help with collecting, sorting, organising, packing and distributing gifts. Supporting reasonable volunteer food and travel expenses will help remove barriers to volunteering and ensure that people can participate.

The £1,000 funding will be used as follows: • Volunteer food and travel expenses – £300 • Gift vouchers for teenagers – £300-£15x20 • Coloured/black sacks and packaging materials – £200 • Printing – £100 • Cellotape and wrapping supplies – £100 *Total funding requested: £1,000*

The project will reduce financial pressure on families, support children's wellbeing and help children feel included in Easter and Christmas celebrations. It will also strengthen community connections by creating opportunities for local people to volunteer, donate and work together to support families in our community.
