Summary
We are hoping to secure funding to prepare a well being event for our local community and support our rainbows, brownie, guide and ranger families. We support girls aged 5-16 of which we currently have around 90 girls participating in life skills and developing into well rounded women of the future.
Description
We are hoping to host a free event for our local community of all ages in early 2027 (January). We support girls of all backgrounds and financial circumstances and mental help effects many of our girls and their families personally from adjusting to changes, financial challenges, bereavement, bullying and dealing with life long and chronic health conditions. We are a non profit charity organisation (OSCR registered) and supported wholly by volunteers including myself who give a lot of time on a weekly basis to support the girls directly. We now want to take this a step further and support the local community and surrounding areas offering a day of well being sessions from mindfulness to a safe place to chat and share. Also offering budgeting guidance, cost effective recipes and some free essential items (soap, sanitary products and other hygiene necessities) to those in need. We hope to offer a safe space allowing local member of our community to help each other and teach our girls some life skills and values they can use in the future to support one another and themselves. What a wonderful organisation for the young girls in our area. It is a huge part of our local community.
Thanks to all who have vot d or considering voting. Our girls well being means everything to us and teaching them to care for each other n the future is an invaluable skill which will benefit no only themselves and others around them but also the wider community
