Man Cave Monday is a free, welcoming and informal weekly support group for me in our local community. Our aim is simple: to reduce isolation, im prove mental health and wellneing and to give men somewhere they can connect with others without judgement or pressure.

We recognise that many men find it difficult to ask for help or engage with traiditonal support services. Man Cave provides a different approach. Men can come along for a coffee, a chat, a luagh or simply to get out of the house and be around others. There is no pressure to talk about struggles, issues, or mental health, but support and friendships are there when needed.  

Funding will allow us to build on our regulare weekly meetings by providing a programme of activitites to encourage more men to get involved, build friendships and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. This will include group activities, wellbeing sessions, social activities and opportunities to bring in external facilitators and specialists

We also want to reach men who may currently be isolated or unaware of the support available locally and encourage them to come along and be part of a positive supportive community

* Organised group wellbeing/social activities - £300

* Promotional and outreach materials to reach isolated men locally - £100

Total - £1000

All funding will be used specifically for Man Cave Monday activity programmes and associated resources and will not be used towards routine organisational running costs.
