St Matthew's Academy Parent Council Community Wardrobe
Summary
School uniform is very important for school pupils and we want to help ease the financial pressure on families. This will help support attendance, dignity and confidence so our pupils are ready to learn throughout the year.
Description
Unisex black jumpers in a variey of sizes and a mix of round and V neck £250
Black trousers for males and females in avariety of sizes but 2/3 for males £250
Variety of plain black shoes and trainers in a variety of sizes for male and female pupils £400
Black tights 40 denier multi pack £100
We have many families in SIMD1-4 and other families who require uniform support throughout the year as although many eligible for grant when term starts children grow and uniform can get damaged etc. We have about 50% of pupils in SIMD1-2 so a vast amount amount of pupils require this service. We do accept donations and have a stock but with a large school roll it is always in demand.
S6 pipils will be involved in helping their school community as they organise the open days and it is avaliable at parent's evenings
The idea is the next one will be a winter open days but staff keep a stock avaliable all year round so if trousers are torn or someone needs tights as theirs are ripped a teacher can access all year
This will help close the attainment gap
