St John Ogilvie Primary & Ealry Years Parent Council
Summary
The parent council is hoping to raise funds to create a new raised garden area within the school grounds. This project will give children a fun, hands on opportunity to learn about growing plants, flowers, fruit & vegetables, while developing an understanding of where food comes from and the importance of caring for our environment. As part of the project, we hope to work alongside our Local Men’s Shed charity, brining the school & wider community together to design & build the raised planters.
Description
The garden will encourage pupils to spend more time outdoors while promoting healthy lifestyles, practical skills, physical activity and positive mental wellbeing. it will also provide an engaging space where pupils can learn practical skills, work together and take pride in nurturing their plants.
