Summary
Our Family Hub Club runs after-school every Wednesday. We provide a snack and put on activities such as arts and crafts, board games, quizzes, sports and baking. We also run a community larder and 'Uniform Exchange', under the Hub Club title. We encourage health and wellbeing, community engagement and support for families in need. Although the club runs on a Wednesday, we provide support to the families in our community whenever possible.
Description
We run our after-school family hub club on a Wednesday; however, our volunteers support our community throughout the week. Many of our smaller projects run under our 'Family Hub Club' title, including our community larder, uniform exchange, changing station and any arising needs we deem able to support.
We are applying for the full £1000 to help us fund the following:
As our Hub Club expands, we require further lockable storage to ensure all our belongings are safe and secure within the building. Cost of a lockable storage cupboard - £170
As we continue to support the community larder, stock may need 'topped up' on an adhoc basis throughout the year. Estimated cost of replenishing our larder and food bank supplies – £200 approx
As we continue to support families in need from our local community, we will continue to replenish underwear, socks, tights and changing supplies at our changing station – £130 approx
As we continue to run a varied programme of activities, we will need to purchase resources for this at an estimated cost of £200 approx
Purchasing snack, fruit and drinks for the weekly after-school hub club – £200 approx
On occasion we may bring in external agencies to do demonstrations or to provide an activity £100 approx
All costs are variable and depend on attendance, donations we receive and slight changes to our action plan for the Family Hub Club.
