Coast Watch Scotland will offer a one day First Aid course to staff and volunteers in our charity. It is vital we have a trained personnel as our venues can be very busy with a wide range of people and age groups visiting.
Description
We need First Aid training to ensure the safety of the many volunteers, visitors and staff involved in our charity.
We started as a regeneration project focussing on the main street and retail units. We addressed the built and natural environment and established Craft Town Scotland CTS and West Kilbride Environmental Group WKEG.
CTS now manages nine studios and the Barony Arts Centre. Two further studios are currently being built. WKEG manages most of the local green spaces in the town as well as a green centre, a meadow, an orchard and woodland. We believe we have encouraged pride in our town and made it a desirable place to live
Our Craft Town commitment offers creativity and provides a wide range of activities and exhibitions in which our extended community may engage. It is well documented that creativity improves physical and mental health and the contacts being made in these creative activities encourage social interaction and enjoyment. We also manage an in house cafe with home baking. We offer accessible sessions, some being free, and many being subsidised. Our Environmental Group is heavily involved in protecting and improving the natural environment. Membership is free. It is vital we now provide trained First Aid support.
A full day of First Aid training for 12 participants @£75 pp = £900 Lunch for 12 participants plus 2 trainers at £7 pp = £98
