Summary
Eglinton Growers Allotments over the past few years have successfully held amazing family friendly fun days with the support of PB grants. We are looking to build on this success with having two events. We propose to have first of all our extremely successful Easter fun day where we have local families come and have a day of fun, easter egg hunt, kids crafts and games. Our second event would be a spooktacular Halloween event inviting families to come and spend the afternoon at the allotments.
Description
The two events would be as follows;
Easter Fun Day 2027- Inviting familes to join us from 12noon to 3pm. We ensure that everyone is welcome to join in the fun. There will be an easter egg hunt with the kids being given a full size easter egg when they solve the clues, while looking out for the easter bunny.There are outdoor games and crafts available for all ages. We also have available drinks and cakes.
Costs are as follows;
Easter eggs for kids - £300
Easter Decor - £100
Craft items (paints, stencils, paper, stickers) - £100
Spooktakular Halloween 2027 - Local families will be able to visit the site from 12noon to 3pm where they can engage in some family fun. There will be pumpkins available for them to purchase for a small fee (£1) which they will take home to carve and then have time to enjoy the activities on site. Outdoor games, kids crafts, dookin for apples.
Costs are as follows;
Best fancy dress kid - £25
Best fancy dress family - £50
Halloween decor - £100
Apples - £20 (dookin for apples)
Crafts - £100
Trick or Treat (fruit and sweet treats for kids) - £205
