Through Judo, we help young people develop confidence, self-discipline, resilience, respect for others, and teamwork skills while encouraging them to lead active and healthy lifestyles.

A key part of our club ethos is pormoting friendship, inculsion and a strong sense of community. We strive to ensure that no child is excluded from participating due to financial barriers.

We are applying for funding to purchase five judo kits of each of the five sizes: We have 2 judo nights with 14 young people attending and hopefully grow in size in the coming months.

Size 120cm, 130cm, 140cm, 150cm and 160cm so 25 suits in total.

These suits will be available to children and young people who wish to take part in the club but whose families may struggle with the cost of purchasing euipment. With the ongoing cost of living pressures and financial hardships experienced by many households, the cost of a judo suit can be a significant barrier to participation.

By providing suit, we will remove this barrier and ensure that more children and young people can access the physical, social and emotional benefits of judo. The funding will help us promote equal access, increase participation and support families who may otherwise be unable to afford the equipment needed for their child to take part.

This will enable more young people to become involved in a positive, supportive community activity and benefit from the cofidence friendships, and wellbeing that participation in judo can provide.

Judo kits will be purchased from Fighting Films website
