On 5 September 2026, GVAA launched a new community flower and produce show at the allotment site. The event was a huge success, with more than 50 members and visitors attending and a great amount of exhibits. The feedback from the event is fabulous and it looks like this type of show would be well attended and welcomed by the community.

The show is a free, open, family event that brings the wider Garnock Valley community together. Not just allotment members, as we had non-members exhibiting and family and friends enjoying the event. The show showcases and encourages local growing. We are planning the event will become sustainable through sales of refreshements at the show and our event next year will also include selling our surplus produce and flowers with all funds raised being used to reinvest in future shows and surplus funds being used for site improvements.

The show made use of the allotment's polytunnel to display some exhibits. The polytunnel has still to have permanent growing beds installed and once this is complete, it will not be available as a show space in future years. GVAA is therefore seeking funding to secure suitable venue for 2027, alongside other essentials to grow the show sustainably.
