Choices Community Matters supports households across the Fullarton area of Irvine, many of whom experience ongoing food insecurity and financial hardship. Through positive relationships and consistent support, we have helped hundreds of households access the food they need and improve their overall wellbeing.

We recognise that the rising cost of living, combined with the additional pressures of the Christmas period, can be an extremely stressful time for individuals and families. To help ease this burden, we want to ensure that households do not have to choose between heating their homes and putting food on the table. We are therefore seeking support to provide free access to our Community Larder throughout January and February, offering vital assistance during a particularly challenging time of year.

Households currently pay a weekly contribution of £4.50 for smaller households and £7.00 for larger families to access the Community Larder. On average, the larder generates £110 per week in income. Funding of £1,000 would enable us to offer free access to all members throughout January and February, removing a financial burden during a period of increased pressure and helping to ensure families can continue to access essential food and household supplies.
