We meet every Monday for coffee,tea and biscuits, we also play rounds of bingo and quizzes. This helps to improve the mental well-being of older members in society. It also allows them to interact with other members of the community which helps to improve their mindset.

As part of our club, we run bus trips throughout the year with multiple being planned for 2027. Bus trips mean older people can have days out from their house, enjoying sightseeing and being in the company of others, helping to reduce loneliness.In 2027, for those in our club who have additional needs and cannot make bus trips, we will hold a buffet and entertainment which is provided for free in Stevenson Masonic for all 57 members. This helps to reduce inequalities that older people may face, allowing them to still spend time out of the house.

In December 2027, we aim to hold a Christmas lunch for all of our 57 members. Christmas can be a lonely time for older people and hosting this lunch means we can all get together to reduce the loneliness and difficulties that Christmas can have.   

How the £1000 funding will be used £1000:

£500 for a bus trip in 2027 for 40 people.

£150 for the buffet for those who can't attend bus trips in 2027

£350 to cover our Christmas lunch.
