The Introduction to Watercolour and Project Art groups provide accessible, free creative learning opportunities that support adults to develop new skills, improve confidence, and enhance their wellbeing. Participants progress from complete beginners to producing artwork they are proud to exhibit publicly, demonstrating significant personal growth and increased self-belief.

Key benefits include:

• Improved mental health and wellbeing through the therapeutic and relaxing nature of painting, providing a positive outlet for self-expression and stress reduction.
• Increased confidence and self-esteem as learners develop artistic skills, recognise their progress, and achieve personal goals.
• Reduced social isolation by creating welcoming spaces where participants build friendships, support one another, and develop a strong sense of belonging.
• Development of new skills and lifelong learning habits, with participants progressing from introductory techniques to more advanced creative practices.
• Greater community participation and civic pride through public exhibitions that celebrate learning achievements and connect participants with the wider community.
• Improved inclusion and equality of access, with free participation ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent people from engaging in meaningful learning opportunities.

Due to the ever raising cost of living the prices of art materials are becoming increasinly more expensive and far reaching, without this funding the groups will not be able to keep running.
