Following review process, application will proceed for eligible cost of badges and celebration only (£316); census is a running cost and therefore not eligible under the criteria for the fund. 

We are seeking £1,000 of funding to support our local Brownies unit, helping us keep Girlguiding affordable and accessible for all families.

The funding would contribute towards three important areas: our annual Girlguiding census fees, the purchase of badges earned by the girls throughout the year, and an end-of-year celebration recognising their achievements.

Brownies provides the girls with a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where they can build confidence, develop new skills, make friendships and take part in activities that encourage teamwork, independence and involvement in their community.

Funding badges is particularly important to us. The girls work hard throughout the year to complete activities, learn new skills and achieve their awards. Being presented with their badges gives them a tangible recognition of their effort and encourages them to continue challenging themselves.

We would also use part of the funding towards an end-of-year celebration where they can come together to celebrate their achievements, friendships and experiences from the year.

By supporting our application, the funding would directly benefit the local children and their families, reducing financial barriers to participation while allowing our Brownies unit to continue providing positive, inclusive and rewarding experiences within our community.
