Fund a football and wellbeing day, providing coaching, healthy food and a safe, fun day for our players, while supporting families with free school-holiday childcare.Project Description
We are seeking funding to provide a dedicated football and wellbeing day for our young players during a school holiday. Funding would be used to hire a suitable local football pitch and engage coaches from a local provider specialising in high-quality youth football coaching.
Throughout the day, the children will take part in fun, inclusive and competitive football activities, alongside sessions promoting physical fitness, teamwork and positive wellbeing. Healthy snacks and lunch will also be provided, ensuring that every child can participate fully regardless of their family’s circumstances.
The day will give our players an opportunity to come together outside their normal training schedule, strengthening friendships, confidence and team spirit while keeping them active and engaged during a day off school.
Importantly, the project will also provide practical support to local families. By offering a safe, structured and familiar environment with their usual teammates and trusted adults, parents and carers will have reassurance that their child is taking part in a positive activity while they work or manage other commitments, reducing the need to arrange additional childcare.
By securing funding for the day, we can offer the experience at no additional cost to families, ensuring that financial circumstances are not a barrier to participation. The £1,000 funding would therefore directly benefit both the young people involved and their families, while also supporting a local coaching provider and promoting physical activity, wellbeing and community connection.
