Project Summary
We are a volunteer led community food larder where members are given access to groceries through a process that promotes dignity and affordability. To provide the relief of poverty through dignified access to food to the residents of Largs, Fairlie and Skelmorlie. The advancement of health through the supply of free dental and feminine hygiene products. We also provide free food for pets.Project Description
We would like to provide a few extras in the winter time to our members as this is the time when heating bills are high and moral is low so we would like to provide the following.
1 free shop to 45 members @ £4 per member = £180
1 free soup pack per month January to March at £2.25 each = 45 x £2.25 = £110.25 x 3 months = £330.75
Free fresh home made meals from a local Inn @ £6 each x 45 = £270 March and April = £540
total = £1,050. 75 We will pay the extra over the £1,000

Location: North Ayrshire was found to have a high level of poverty which included pockets of it in Largs, Skelmorlie and Fairlie. The larder was set up under the banner of North Ayrshire Fairer Foods.
