Project Summary
Lamlash Community Hub have recently taken over operation of the former Lamlash Parish Church, and are in the process of creating a flexible, accessible community space for the whole community of Arran. This funding request is to seek support to install audio visual and internet facilities in the building for use of the users of our new community space.Project Description
Lamlash Community Hub is being developed as a welcoming, flexible community space at the heart of Lamlash, providing an affordable venue for local groups, meetings, classes, rehearsals, concerts, talks, community events and celebrations. A grant of £1,000 towards audio-visual equipment would significantly increase what the Hub can offer, providing a shared sound and presentation system that community groups could use without having to provide or hire their own equipment. This would make the building more accessible and useful for everything from small meetings and presentations to music, performances and larger public events, while helping local organisations keep their costs down. The investment would therefore benefit not simply one organisation or activity, but a wide range of groups and individuals across the community for years to come, strengthening the Hub's aim of becoming a well-equipped, sustainable and genuinely shared resource for Lamlash and the wider Isle of Arran.
We propose to buy: £400 - 43" Ilyama Audio Visual Display Monitor for presentations, videos, etc
£300 - Starlink Standard Satellite Antenna
£100 - set of three microphones, cables and stands
£150 - Wireless mic set
£50 - AV Monitor stand
