Project Summary
We are a community youth football team committed to giving local children the opportunity to participate in sport, develop skills and enjoy being part of a team. We currently have 16 players who are beginning an exciting transition to 11-a-side football. The coaches are volunteers who give their time each week to provide two training sessions and support the team at games. Our aim is to create a positive, inclusive environment where every player feels valued, builds confidence and has fun.Project Description
Kilwinning Rangers 2014 Blues is a community youth football team. Currently made up of 16 young players. We are proud to provide children with the opportunity to participate in football, develop their skills, build confidence and friendships, and enjoy being part of a team.
Our coaches are all volunteers who give their time each week to provide two training sessions and at matches on a Saturday. We would use the PB Fund grant to improve the opportunities and experiences available to our players.
The funding would allow us to purchase new and upgraded training equipment, attend a football festival and provide the players with new upgraded team kits. These improvements would benefit every player and help create a positive, inclusive environment where children can develop both on and off the pitch.
New training equipment – footballs, cones, bibs, agility equipment and training aids- £300
Football festival participation – entry fees and associated team costs - £250 New upgraded team kits for the players due to old ones no longer fitting- £450
Total requested £1,000
The funding will directly benefit all players by giving them access to better equipment, new football experiences and upgraded team kit. Attending festivals will also allow the children to experience playing against new teams, develop confidence and teamwork, and create memories together as a group.
As a volunteer-run community team, funding of this kind would make a significant difference and allow us to provide opportunities that may otherwise be difficult for the team and their families to afford.
