Project Summary
Our group aims to support other young people in learning how to play the imaginative, creative, and social role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons. We are seeking a range of new resources to help save young people money.Project Description
For beginners, Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) can be an expensive and steep learning curve. Our group removes these barriers by providing resources for newcomers, which saves them from buying their own. We also have a friendly and welcoming space with like-minded young people to learn the game from. We believe the creative and imaginative part of D&D helps young people with many skills, such as communication, problem solving, and teamwork. Additionally, we feel that being part of a group, socialising, and being accepted for who you are can have huge benefits on mental health. Recently, we have been exploring 3D printing to create new characters and scenery. We would like to do more and buy a multicolour upgrade, the cost of a 3D printed character in multicolour is around £30 compared to printing ourselves it would be more like £8. Our group is open to anyone aged 12-25 in North Ayrshire.
