Hi, We are pupils who attend breakfast club and would like to apply to the YPB fund to get resources to enhance the experience of the many pupils that attend the Breakfast Club.

Project Description

We are the Breakfast Club Champions and are applying to the Youth Participatory Budget Fund to see if we can get some funding to enhance our breakfast club experience. For many of us, Breakfast Club isn't just a place to get food before our day at school, it's where the day really starts. It helps us feel energised and ready to start our day of learning, less stressed in the mornings and connected with friends in a calm space. We think it could be better - and with your help, it can be. 

We want to:

• Create a relaxed, welcoming space - with things like bean bags, games and music.
• Start a 'Breakfast Buddies' programme - where the older children help settle the younger children.
• Build community and give everyone a chance to feel included.

To make this happen for us we need new resources. 

If our bid was successful, this is what we would buy:

• Bean bags x 4 = £279.96
• Chalk Boards x 2 packs of 5 = £89.98
• Chalk x 3 packs = £95.97
• Large games strategy kit = £650
