We are a group of residents within a Sheltered Housing complex who aim to provide social events that bring people together and help reduce social isolation.

We are a small nursery in Dalry, with a parent run committee. We are applying for funding to purchase outdoor resources i.e. clothing and equipment. The appropriate outdoor clothing will ensure children have equal access regardless of familys financial situation, promotes inclusion, encourages outdoor play in all weathers and enhances learning opportunities. Outdoor learning is such a fantastic way for children to learn as it boots confidence and supports mental and physical wellbeing.

The aim is to support volunteers who are part of the Irvine 'Adopt a Flowerbed' scheme.

We have set up a volunteer led initiative, community food store where Larder members are given access to groceries through a process that promotes dignity and affordability. To provide the relief of poverty through dignified access to the residents of Largs. Fairlie and Skelmorlie. The advancement of health through the supply of free dental hygiene products and free feminine hygiene products to reduce period poverty. The advancement of environmental improvement by reducing food waste.

We are applying to deliver a day of cookery classes for Island families in early 2026 - using sustainable produce to create budget friendly meals, perfect for batch cooking for the freezer. 

To provide sports equipment and coaching aids in order to host Open days.

We are looking to hold a Halloween and Xmas events. Every year we do community events and bring the families together with Halloween haunted mansion , pumpkin trails and recently started Halloween garden decorations with the winning family receiving a small participating gift. At Xmas we do the Xmas fayre, santas grotto, family movie nights, and the annual Xmas eve santa sleigh providing selection boxes for every child in the village.

AILN are an independent information and advice organisation to support people to remain independent in their homes and communities. We also have a self funding payroll service, a Dementia Befriending /wellbeing cafes project, along with a training and micro enterprise projects.

Providing seeds, compost, tools and fruit trees to support food growing across Arran's communities for a sixth season, reducing cost of living and improving health outcomes.
