WKCIL exists to support the regeneration of the village through Craft Town Scotland. WKCIL rents studios to crafters, helping to keep the village vibrant. The Barony Centre is the hub of all the activity, acting as a central point for showcasing and selling arts and crafts from local and National artists and makers. There is also a very busy cafe in the Barony, which acts as a community hub. WKCIL employs 11 part-time staff, all based in the Barony centre.

Barrfields Community Garden in Largs grows food to share with the community and local charities. Our mission is to grow sustainable and organic local food for donation and to foster community engagement with the entire growing cycle.
