We play an important role in reducing social isolation by providing a welcoming environment for individuals who are interested in nature and enjoy outdoor physical activity. We attract members from as far afield as Saltcoats.

We are a small nursery in Dalry, with a parent run committee. We are applying for funding to purchase outdoor resources i.e. clothing and equipment. The appropriate outdoor clothing will ensure children have equal access regardless of familys financial situation, promotes inclusion, encourages outdoor play in all weathers and enhances learning opportunities. Outdoor learning is such a fantastic way for children to learn as it boots confidence and supports mental and physical wellbeing.

This allows ladies and gents over 50 to connect with others while they enjoy quizzes , chocolate bingo and other fun activities. Many of the people who attend live by themselves and this group reduces isolation,promotes positive mental health,encourages and supports friendships and interests. The club means so much to its members and has a real impact on people’s lives in a positive way.

Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Age Concern has been active for over 50 years and aims to provide the elderly within our community with the opportunity to socialise and participate in activities that benefit their wellbeing and reduce social isolation. Since covid this has become even more important as many people have become more isolated and have a fear of going out. We meet weekly in Bridgend Community centre and aim to provide excursions twice a year.

We are a 100% voluntary group made up of people who maintain access paths around the woodlands for all to use and enjoy. With conservation and re-wilding in mind, we always work with these principles in mind. To create a peaceful space where people from all over the Garnock Valley can enjoy nature and learn about their local environment. Next year, we are hoping to work with the Nectare Network and improve the meadow.

We are local Spots club who run a kayaking and canoe club from kilbirnie loch . We have an age range from 8yrs to adults . Everyone is encouraged to come along and join in and try different skills be it canoeing , kayaking , water boarding etc Hence creating a friendly environment where people are comfortable to try new things . It’s a fantastic way to make friends , stay fit , and learn life saving skills .

Our vision is to host a Christmas celebration that is welcoming to all, strengthens community bonds, and brings back the wonder of the festive season. With the lighting of our community Christmas tree, Santa visits, entertainment, and locally run festive stalls, we will create a joyful event where the benefits are shared by the whole community.
