Project Summary
We meet weekly in Lanfine Hall and offer a variery of activities, entertainement, trips and bingo for older people in the area to help tackle social isolation and loneliness. We provide refreshments as well as encourage members to attend our bus trips and Seasonal events. This is the only interaction some of the members have on a weekly basis. We run from September until June every year. We have been running our group for almost 35 years and is run completely by volunteers.Project Description
We paln to take the members out for Seasonal lunch at McChristies Restaurant in Crosshouse. We would provide transport to and from the venue. This would be an accessible bus due to the various walking abilities of some of our members and also wheelchair accessible. We want this trip to be inclusive for all of our members as they enjoy this annual treat and given the time of year it is, it is great that they can be included in festive celebrations.

Location: Lanfine/Girdle Toll area has expanded greatly over recent years due to 3 new housing developments. This is the only place within the immediate area which runs any sort of activity for older people. We no longer have a community centre here, so this group is a lifeline for many of our members who have no family within the immediate area to help combat their isolation.
