Our goal is to bring Western Gailes and Marine Triangle in Irvine into community ownership to protect and improve them for people and nature. This is part of our wider aim to buy, protect and improve local threatened sites.
Project Description
To support our attempt to buy Western Gailes, we need to demonstrate the benfit to the community this would bring. So we want to commission Community Enterprise to undertake a community benefit calculation, which will put a monetary value on the effects of us taking the site into community ownership (e.g., the money saved by the NHS though increased community visits to this greenspace). This will cost c.£2664. We're seeking £2000 towards this from Community Wealth Building PB.
