We are residents of Saltcoats High Flats and meet on a weekly basis. We are an older community of people with a varying mobility needs and general abilities. Many of us live by ourselves. We created our afternoon club to foster community spirit, reduce isolation and help each other out. We would like to apply for funding to help with days out.

Our community offers a compassionate space for open conversations and attentive listening. Food & Heat is going to be the topic of our winter campaign for the community. We run the community cafe in the centre which is open 5 days a week 7.30am until 4.30pm. The centre would like to supply hot soup with a roll, or a hot meal & a hot drink 3 times a week to take a wee bit of pressure off in the winter.

The unit would like to attend the National Outdoor Centre at Lochgoilhead to take part in adventurous activities that will improve their leadership and team building skills as well as taking part in activities that we cannot supply for them.

"The Stevenston North Community Association's goal is to host events that promote social interaction and benefit local residents. We plan to provide a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and entertainment for local people 50+   Additionally, we will host a Free Santa Event with free food and entertainment for local kids. Something for everyone :-) "Our objective is to build community interaction and offer support through memorable festive events."

SeaSalt Streets wishes to build on the success of its one-off pop-up events. On this occasion the group would like to hold a SMOOTHIE SPECTACULAR where healthy milk, fruit and syrup smoothies are individually created by peddling a smoothie bike which have a blender attachment !! The participants, of all ages, can choose and make their own creation. Theŕe will also have the opportunity to "milk a cow" A life-size model cow with water dispensing teats !!! A fantastic one-off opportunity for all.

Shutter Bugs are a group of enthusiastic photographers, based in the Three Towns. Coming together to share knowledge and experience of photography and the art of taking pictures. Open to people of all abilities. Phone users to digital camera users all are welcome

2024 is our centenary year. Each year, we organise a number of parades such as Remembrance Day in Saltcoats and Stevenston. We also organise the annual HMS Dasher Memorial weekend at the end of March. These parades are not funded directly by North Ayrshire Council. Instead, it is up to our branch to arrange the funding for our parades. This application will go some way to ensure that our parades in Nov 2024 and Mar 2025 can go ahead.

Ardrossan Indoor Bowls Club has a large function suite which, outwith funeral teas, is unused during the day since the closure of its Cafe. It does offer a Community Corner where there are facilities to exchange books, use games such as cards, dominoes and board games and some craft materials. We would love to expand this and also offer it to be used as a Warm Hub, during the Winter. People from the 3 Towns could call in and be provided with hot drinks and soup and sandwiches.
