Castlepark Primary Parent Council are planning to run an after-school 'Family Hub'. We will run workshops with different themes each week, including ‘help with homework’ and ‘family fun’. A healthy meal or snack will also be provided. Our aim is to support family learning, engage with the local community and promote health and wellbeing. This will be free of charge to those who attend.

Setting up of solar-panel power source to charge communal equipment as currently members are taking rechargeable batteries home to charge

Crossing Together Toddlers was formed in March 2024 following the project being approached by two local new parents who felt there was a need for a group locally in Bourtreehill. Both mums are now lead participants along with our Mission Pioneer in running the weekly sessions on Tuesday mornings for 2 hours at the Relief Mission Centre. The group quickly reached capacity of 40 babies/toddlers who attend with a least one adult per child. The sessions are free to ensure it is accessible to all.

We would like to further enhance our food larder to provide fresh fruit and vegetables twice weekly over the Winter period.

Kilwinning Litter Pickers operate across Kilwinning carrying out community litter picking as individuals and working with community partners like Kilwinnibg Sports club, kilwinning beavers, scouts and local schools. The grant is to restock with more litter pickers for community clean ups and loaning to individuals to adopt an area.

We plan to commission an environmental survey of Kerelaw – an essential step towards bringing the site into community ownership within the next year.

We are requesting funding to buy Wood & screws etc. for the Members to make items to develop their skills, which is great for their feeling of self worth by making Planters, Bird boxes, Bird tables, Bug hotels, Clocks, and other Indoor/outdoor items.

Arran Friendship Café (AFC) aims to increase its reach and accessibility by delivering its café-style meetings for older people at an additional location, to better address social isolation, loneliness and build community on Arran.
