Summary
Description
Working in partnership with Largs Community Council, we have developed a litter project. The youth forums involvement is to promote the project with signage within and around the school, tie pin badges for all pupils and litter picks involving the school. The Youth Forum will also be contacting local businesses to help with the promotion and offer pupils wearing the tie pins, a discount on items purchased from there shop.

Proposed on behalf of: We have been in talks with the community council for a number of weeks now and have already looked at running litter picks around Largs town and the coastline. Realistically, we are looking to start the project with all our peers around April 2023 although we have done some planning and started to contact some businesses already with Nardini's agreeing to be part of this project. A number of other shops in the town have already put up signage in their shop windows, supplied by the community council, This part of the project will have an impact on the cost of living, offering discounts for the young people involved. the youth forum are targeting all 1000+ pupils to get involved and play their part with the incentive of the discounts from the local businesses within the town. The young people will only get a discount if they are wearing the tie pin badge which shows they are taking part in the project.
