We are looking to run an event for the Bourtreehill Area and wider community of Irvine to bring together the vulnerable and those in poverty who are struggling under the current financial crisis. We will provide them with food, heating and entertainment. At the event we will give them advice on where they can get help and sign post them.

Proposed on behalf of: We are looking at holding this event at the end of April and we held a similar event in December where we self funded and had 80 people in attendance. This was a great success and we had elderly and young people coming together to enjoy the heating and food that was provided. We were able to share the information we had at the time for grants that were available for fuel poverty and give information about food larders, debt advice and local clothing exchanges. We had a number of the elderly who had not been out of their house in months in attendance.
