Test It! Application Form

Please ensure that you have read the Application Guidance and Criteria for the programme before submitting your application form.

Applications open for Test It! on Sunday 1st February and close on Saturday 28th February at midnight. Late applications cannot be accepted.

If you encounter any issues completing or submitting your application on Microsoft Forms, please email testit@north-ayrshire.gov.uk for support.

Section 1: Application Questions
- Title: what is your project or application called?
- Summary of your idea: what is the idea you want to text? (max 200 characters)
- Project description: referring to the Application Guidance, tell us more about why you want to try out your idea, how you plan to do it and the difference you hope it will make to your organisations. Please ensure you include a breakdown of your project costs, show how it will help you to generate an income and clearly demonstrate how you meet the Criteria for 'Test It!' (max 4000 characters)
- How much investment are you applying for from the Starter Fund? (£5,000 or £10,000)
- What was your organisation's income at its last set of accounts? Please state the years these accounts cover e.g. 2024/25. If you have been active for a year or less and have not filed a set of audited accounts yet, please state this here, along with the income you have generated to date (and the period of time you have been active)
- Are any of your committee or board members related? If so, how many? By 'related', we mean parents, children, siblings, spouses or long-term partners

Section 2: Policies and Procedures
- Structure of organisation (e.g. SCIO or constituted community orgasniation)
- What is the main focus of your organisation? (tick box). We know that for most organisations, multiple options will apply, but please select the one that feels describes your overall work the best:
  - Advice and advocacy services
  - Arts and creative industries

  - Education, training or employment

  - Sports and leisure

- Policies and procedures - do you have the following in place? (tick box):
  - Any relevant insurance to carry out your proposal
  - Equal opportunities policy
  - PVGs for any staff or volunteers who need them (in line with new Volunteer Scotland policy)
  - Child Protection Policy (if you work with children or young people)
  - Adult Protection Policy (if you work with vulnerable adults)
  - A bank account for the organisation
