The aim of the knitting and sewing group is to make fidget muffs and fidget aprons/ blankets for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. These are helpful for local nursing homes such as Cumbrae Lodge who give these to residents to help keep them calm and occupied.

Castlepark Primary School Parent Council - After School Family Hub

Castlepark Primary Parent Council are planning to run an after-school 'Family Hub'. We will run workshops with different themes each week, including ‘help with homework’ and ‘family fun’. A healthy meal or snack will also be provided. Our aim is to support family learning, engage with the local community and promote health and wellbeing. This will be free of charge to those who attend.

We have a very small but very active combined PTA/PC who are constantly looking at ways to enhance our schools’ pupils experience both inside and outside the school. We work hard to fundraise for all kinds of activities for the children including school trips, discos and themed events proving treats to all the children throughout the school year.
