Project Description

At Parents for Stanley we try to help the children of the school experience as much as they can through their time in Primary Education. The Arran residential trip is a once in a lifetime, where each P7 pupil can exerience time away with peers and engage in activities not neccessarily available to them otherwise. Many families are currently experiencing difficulties financially and the rising cost of living continues to impede in normal living.  Any money towards this Trip will help reduce the cost to all P7 families and allows the children better opportunity to attend the wonderful Outdoor centre.  We want this Residential Trip to be affordable to all families and the children to experience the activities, learning and personal development it offers. Trying new activities and gaining lots of personal benefits throughout the entirety of the adventure.  All the activities on offer to the children help to enhance the physical, mental health and wellbeing of the children.  Health benefits include to assist their gross and fine motor skills. Holistic development of children.  Allowing children to become more able to identify hazards and risks, develop self-awareness, confidence and self esteem, develop refelctive and inquisitive thinking along with porblem solving approaches in "real" situations. Hopefully develop a lifelong love of the outdoors and Arran and foster positive existing realtinships.  The learning the children undertake on the trip will help them to contibute to the environment they are exploring and learnng to love, respect and appreciate all that is living.

Return ferry costs for 68 Children - £374.00, Money towards reducing costs to parents £626.00 (Reducing costs to parents towards residential stay )
